CPI regards production safety as the prerequisite for its development. In 2014, CPI took the implementation and improvement of HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) systems as the carrier, strengthened the management of production safety, consolidated nuclear safety, cultivated safety culture and established safety accountability system so as to ensure stable and safe production. For the past seven consecutive years, CPI experienced no fatal accidents or major equipment accidents. In 2014, 171 member companies were qualified for standardized safe production. According to the National Energy Administration, CPI ranked second in generating unit reliability among the five power generation corporations in China, with 17 units achieving safe production for more than 300 consecutive days. CPI Jiangsu Changshu Power Co. Ltd was honored “First-Class Enterprise for Power Work Safety Standardization” by the National Energy Administration while the Xining Branch of CPI Solar Power Xi’an Co., Ltd was certified as “Second-Class Enterprise for Power Work Safety Standardization in Qinghai Province”.
