SPIC Launched the Strategic Cooperative Project on Clean Energy with CRRC

  On May 12th, State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC) signed the strategic cooperative agreement with CRRC Corporation Limited (CRRC) in Beijing. With the spirits of equality and mutual benefit, complementary advantages and win-win cooperation, both parties will strengthen the strategic cooperation in clean energy.

  As one of China’s top five power generators, SPIC is an integrated energy group with power as its core and integrated development, demonstrating a distinctive clean development feature. And CRRC is the world’s largest supplier of rail transit equipment with the most complete product lines and leading technologies. It has formed a complete industrial chain, ranging from the host of wind power to kernel components including gear case, electrical machine and electronic control units. Meanwhile, CRRC has an extensive excellent industrial building, which is suitable to develop and construct distributed projects of energy resources.

  Based on the agreement, SPIC shall support the subsidiaries of CRRC to provide equipment and engineering technical services for the clean energy projects of SPIC, including clean thermal power, hydropower, wind power and PV. Meanwhile, under the premise of meeting the requirements of relevant national policies and regulations and based on the market-oriented principle, the subsidiaries of CRRC shall be guaranteed to be included as qualified suppliers with priority.

  CRRC agrees that SPIC shall conduct large-scale development and construction of distributed PV projects, on the available roof of workshops of its subsidiaries. Meanwhile, CRRC shall actively coordinates its subsidiaries to cooperate with SPIC Shijiazhuang Dongfang Energy on the construction of distributed PV projects on roof of workshops, and agrees that SPIC shall provide integrated smart energy services of electricity, heat and cold. CRRC will also actively provide special technical support for the industrial technology innovation of SPIC, including machine manufacture, frequency converting control and system integration.

  Both parties agree that, in the future, they will give play to their own industrial advantages and regional influence, respond to national strategies of “Belt and Road” and “Going Global”, share the information and resources, jointly develop the overseas markets of conventional electric power and new energy, as well as achieve alliance between giants and complementary advantages.
