Investment and Operation of Wind Power

By the end of 2016, SPIC had a wind power capacity of 11982.2 MW distributed in 25 provinces and autonomous regions including Qinghai, Xinjiang, Gansu, Inner Mongolia, Jiangsu, etc.

SPIC follows the principle of attaching equal importance to centralized and distributed development and utilization of wind power. Given the conditions of wind power consumption and technological development, SPIC expedites the distributed development of projects in China’s central and southeastern regions,promotes large-scale onshore wind power bases and intertidal and offshore wind power in coastal regions step by step.

Meanwhile, as one of the earliest wind power designers in China, SPIC has completed the feasibility studies and construction drawings of more than 90 wind farms.

With a total installed capacity of 1,070 MW, the wind farm is located in the Gobi Desert of Gansu. 200 MW Dafeng Intertidal Wind Farm in Jiangsu Province

 
200 MW Dafeng Intertidal Wind Farm in Jiangsu Province

With a total installed capacity of 200 MW, the project is located in the costal intertidal zone of Dafeng, Jiangsu. SPIC designed and built the 21 km coastal cofferdam to overcome the difficulty of construction in the intertidal zone.
