On November 20, 2014, the Flu Gas Clean Emission Demonstration Project of Caojing USC Power Plant was put into commercial operation, which is the only clean emission project in Shanghai and the first ultra-low emission project in CPI as well.

Taking Unit 2 of Caojing USC Power Plant as a demonstration unit, CPI conducted applied researches on the integration optimization and control of multi-pollutants emission reduction technology for the clean emission system. The target of staged multi-pollutant management, coordinated intelligent control and clean emission was achieved, and the emission indicators including SO_², NO_^x, dust, etc. were all better than the emission criteria for the gas-fired generating units located in key areas of China.
