CPI Mengdong Energy Group spent RMB83.26 million on reclamation, road hardening, ground leveling, wastewater treatment, removal of high-energy-consuming equipment, green lighting and other energy-saving and environmental efforts for its open-pit mines. Reclamation rate reached 90% and 90% of sewage water was recycled in 2012, making great contributions to saving water resources, reducing environmental pollution and alleviating water shortage and improving the ecosystem in the mine areas.
