Actively responding to the national call of energy saving and emission reduction, CPI has intensified its efforts to shut down small thermal units. Since 2006, it has energetically promoted the adjustment of power mix according to the requirement of NDRC.

  

In early 2007, NDRC and CPI signed the Letter of Responsibility for Shutting Down Small Thermal Units and set down the goal of shutting down 82 units of 3988.1MW during the 11^th Five Year period.
