On February 8, Chairman Qian Zhimin met with Mr. Nacati Yama?, Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey (MENR) at SPIC Beijing headquarters. They exchanged in-depth views on cooperation in nuclear energy and key tasks for the next phase.

Chairman Qian thanked MENR for its efforts to enhance the cooperation between the two sides. He pointed out that the sound political and economic relations between China and Turkey laid a solid foundation for the all-round cooperation between the two sides in the field of nuclear energy. Based on the experience of China’s nuclear power development, Chairman Qian made specific suggestions on the future cooperation between the two sides in fields including talent training, R&D, etc.

Mr. Yama? said that China-Turkey relations are of strategic importance, and nuclear energy cooperation will play an important role in promoting the ties. He is looking forward to deepening the exchange and pragmatic cooperation between MENR and SPIC.
