On 27 August 2013, CPI Tibet Branch was officially founded.
At the meeting between CPI and Tibet Autonomous Region government, CPI expressed its gratitude for the government’s support and reaffirmed the great importance it attaches to developing in Tibet. In the future, CPI will fulfill its political, social and economic responsibilities as a state-owned enterprise, increase investment in basic energy sectors and expand their scale based on the industrial development plan and local economic growth of Tibet and make greater efforts to develop clean energies, making its due contributions to Tibet's leapfrog development and long-term peace and order.
The Tibetan government welcomed the establishment of CPI Tibet Branch and hoped that CPI would continue increasing investment and help to implement Tibet’s industrial plan and development goal and vigorously participate in energy development. Tibetan government will create a favorable environment to facilitate their cooperation in clean energies such as hydropower, PV, photo-thermal and geo-thermal projects, aiming for win-win results and mutual development.
