On March 15, Mr. Qian Zhimin, Chairman of SPIC, met with Mr. Christian Bruch, President and Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Energy in Beijing. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on deepening strategic cooperation. Mr. Chen Haibin, Member of the Executive Committee of the Board and Vice President of SPIC, attended the meeting.

Mr. Bruch expressed his admiration for the successful cooperation between the two sides in technology collaboration of heavy-duty gas turbine, hydrogen-mixed gas turbine demonstration project and GNA gas power generation project in Brazil, and spoke highly of various strategic deployment and innovative development achievements of SPIC in recent years. He said that Siemens Energy’s business layout covers the whole world and it has excellent practices and high competitiveness in the fields of power transmission solutions for large energy projects, DC micro grid and green power to X. He expressed the hope that the two sides will continue to deepen the strategic partnership to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

Mr. Qian said that with the high attention of the Chinese and German leaders and the joint efforts of the working level, the two sides have cooperated in good sincerity and made positive progress in the technology collaboration of heavy-duty gas turbines, making positive contributions to the construction process of China’s independent research and development system of heavy-duty gas turbines. In recent years, SPIC has continued to accelerate the layout of large-scale new energy bases, consumer-side integrated smart energy, green power to X and other fields, and constantly achieve new industrial breakthroughs. As a leading enterprise in clean and low-carbon energy technology, Siemens Energy has many opportunities for cooperation with SPIC in the above fields. It is hoped that the two sides will further strengthen exchanges and cooperation, in an effort to deliver more cooperation projects at home and abroad.

After the meeting, Mr. Qian and Mr. Bruch jointly accepted an interview with Caijing Magazine, during which they held dialogues on international cooperation, climate change and energy security, energy transition and sustainable development.
