On November 15, Mr. Qian Zhimin, Chairman of SPIC, met with H.E. Mr. Harbi, the Saudi Ambassador to China in Beijing, and the two sides conducted discussions on cooperation in the energy related fields between both countries.

As per SPIC, at present SPIC is promoting the implementation of the MOU on renewable energy cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia on behalf of Chinese power investment enterprises. HHDC, a subsidiary of SPIC, has participated in the world's largest off-grid integrated smart energy project and the world's largest energy storage project under construction - Red Sea Integrated Smart Energy Project. The HHDC-ACWA Power consortium participated in the third round of 1.2GW PV bidding in Saudi Arabia and won the bid for 791MW projects, becoming the consortium winning the largest package in this bidding.
