SPIC's First Wind Generator in Chile Connected to Grid

The first wind generator of wind farm built by State Power Investment Corporation Limited (SPIC) in Punta, Chile, has been connected to local power grid on July 28. It is designed to build 32 wind generators in the wind farm, with a total installed capacity of 80 Megawatts. The project will generate electricity of 282 million kilowatt-hours a year.

The Punta wind farm is the first clean energy project developed by SPIC in Chile, ushering the Chinese company’s renewable energy business abroad into a new period.
