Source:Writer:Date:07/06/2018

The meeting on completion of Australian Yaloak South Wind Farm Project was convened in Melbourne on Jun 4, 2018, followed by a celebration ceremony, marking the timely completion of the project commission and grid-connected generation, and finalizing a successful production handover.

Yaloak South Wind Farm Project, located in Ballan, Victoria, Australia, is the first green-field project invested by SPIC in the country, and the first independently developed green-field investment since SPIC acquired Pacific Hydro. The construction of the project started in December 2016. During construction, the management team of Yaloak Project cleared various hurdles in regards to different management philosophies and technical standards, insufficient management resources, adverse weather and etc. With joint effort by all parties involved, commissioning and grid-connected generation have been achieved, and construction of the project has now been completed.

With joint efforts of SPIC and Pacific Hydro, the project team strictly followed SPIC’s regulations and Australian laws, regulations and market rules during construction.

Construction of Yaloak South Wind Farm Project was completed ahead of schedule and handed over for production, which marks the transition from project construction to official commercial operation, and continuous supply of green and clean energy for Australian people. The success of the project shows SPIC is competent in the independent development, construction and operation of large green-field investment overseas. Through the project SPIC keeps sound cooperation with Australian government, local communities, financing banks, power supervision authorities and land owners, etc. It is believed that the successful start-up of Yaloak South Wind Farm Project will bring positive effects to the undergoing Crowlands, Haughton and Punta projects, and future green-field investments, which will lift SPIC’s overseas development to a new height.
