Wang Binghua Met with Brazilian Minister of Planning, Development and Management, and Minister of Mines and Energy

On September 3, 2017, Chairman Wang Binghua met with Mr. Dyogo Oliveira, Brazilian Minister of Planning, Development and Management , and Mr. Fernando Coelho Filho, Brazilian Minister of Mines and Energy in Beijing. Both parties exchanged views on the cooperation in the energy field.
 
Chairman Wang appreciated the strong support provided by the Brazilian Government for SPIC’s businesses in Brazil. He said that Brazil was a major investment destination for SPIC. With the diligent operation of the local team, SPIC has quickly developed its electricity generation business in Brazil, and would further intensify the investment and development of clean energy projects in the future.
 
Ministers Oliveira and Coelho appreciated SPIC for its professional dedication and practical spirit. They introduced the energy project planning of Brazil and the progress on privatization of Eletrobras. They welcomed SPIC to participate in Brazilian energy projects in the future, and invited SPIC to attend the Brazil Investment Forum 2018.
 
Pacific Hydro Brazil is the business entity of SPIC in Brazil. It headquarters  in Sao Paulo, with over 30 employees. It operates two wind farms in the northeast part of Brazil, with a total capacity of 58 MW. Besides, it has reserved three greenfield projects.
