Wang Binghua Investigated Shanghai Electric Power Japan Co., Ltd.

From February 26, 2017 to March 1, 2017, Wang Binghua, the Secretary of Party Leadership and Chairman of SPIC, went to Shanghai Electric Power Japan Co., Ltd. (the Company), and inspected Mita (Hyogo) Photovoltaic Power Station and Tsukuba (Ibaraki) Photovoltaic Power Station under pilot grid-connected operation.

At Mita (Hyogo) Photovoltaic Power Station, Wang Binghua carefully examined the monitoring system and construction quality; affirmed smooth operation of the Station and its proper handling of relationship with surrounding residents; hoping every power station of the Company can maintain construction quality with a high standard. He stressed that the Company must attach great importance to environmental protection during process of development and construction of projects and creates a harmonious win-win situation with local people.

At Tsukuba (Ibaraki) Photovoltaic Power Station, Wang Binghua made in-depth exchanges with project partners on practical application of PV agriculture. He hoped that concerted efforts of all parities are needed to make Tsukuba Project as demonstration one of complementary PV agriculture in Japan, requiring that engineering design and operation and maintenance of production are to maximize satisfactions of crops production, but also pay attention to accumulate experience, and actively try projects of PV fishery. He encouraged the Company to not only gain their own economic benefits but also focus on social benefits.

Wang Binghua said that he felt all aspects in the Company have made significant progress, visiting the Company once again after a lapse of more than a year. The Company shall always bear in mind that development is the source of power for enterprises, hoping to make persistent efforts, and achieve 1GW installed capacity target by the end of 2020.
