On December 6, Chairman Wang Binghua met a training delegation of provincial and ministerial level officials from African National Congress in Beijing.

　　Chairman Wang Binghua introduced the delegation about developments of SPIC, CAP1400 demonstration project and progress of cooperation between SPIC and South African Nuclear Energy Corporation. Chairman Wang Binghua indicated that SPIC, as delegated by Chinese government, takes the lead in market development and cooperation on South African nuclear power projects, has made productive communications with South African government, enterprises and related agencies as well as made great progress in the aspect of personnel training and newly-built nuclear power projects based in South Africa. SPIC will continue keeping close connection with South Africa in order to jointly propel development of China-South Africa nuclear power.

　　The National Executive Committee, National Working Committee of African National Congress and Aaron Motsoaledi, the Minister of Health of South Africa expressed their appreciation for SPIC’s supports and assistance on nuclear power technology training. Mr. Minister mentioned that SPIC’s strong strengths and cutting-edge nuclear power technology are striking, who expects to deepen communications and cooperation in the field of nuclear power between SPIC and South Africa.

　　The two participating parties made in-depth discussions pertaining to nuclear power industry development, talents development and power capacity cooperation in the meeting.

　　Officials from Department of African Affairs of the International Department of the Central Committee of CPC, and officers of State Nuclear Power Technology and Department of International Business of SPIC were present at the meeting.
