In the afternoon of August 23, President and Secretary-General Xi Jinping of China made a trip to SPIC Yellow River Solar Power Company Xining Branch to have a site visit on development of Qinghai Province which is in reliance upon natural resources to develop clean energy and photovoltaic (PV) industry chain. Mr. Xi Jinping highlighted that there are sufficient solar energy and desertification land in Qinghai Province, and SPIC should give play to its industry, technology, talent and finance advantages and make every reasonable effort to develop PV industry well and benefit the local people by means of clean energy.

　　Mr. Xi Jinping and officials accompanied arrived at Solar Power Company Xining Branch at 16:35pm. Member of Standing Committee of Qinghai Province and Xining CPC Municipal Committee Secretary Wang Xiao, Director Wu Haikun of Qinghai Development and Reform Commission, the Party Secretary and Chairman Xie Xiaoping of Yellow River Company accompanied Mr. Xi Jinping for the visit.

　　In the front of the bulletin of Xining Branch 101 Plant, Mr. Xi Jinping was given a brief report by Mr. Wu Haikun about resource advantages of Qinghai Province, energy construction during the 12th Five-Year Plan period and progress of developing Qinghai into a green energy pilot province, and a report by Mr. Xie Xiaoping on how Yellow River Company is working on developing larger, stronger and better clean energy-based industry and building complete PV industry manufacturing center and innovative system, and facilitating construction of plateau ecology and civilization driven by PV industry as well as on world leading hydraulic and photovoltaic complementary technology.
