46 MW Mozura Wind Farm
In December 2019, a 46 MW wind farm invested and developed by Shanghai Electric Power, a subsidiary of SPIC, jointly with International Renewable Energy Development Ltd (IREDL), Vestigo Clean Energy and Envision Energy International, was put into commercial operation. As a classic example of third-country cooperation in the Mediterranean Rim, this project, with its successful construction and commissioning, gives SPIC a development advantage and serves as a solid foundation for SPIC to take Malta as a starting point to carry out its development strategy in the region.
152 MW Delimara 3 Gas-fired
Power Plant
Shanghai Electric Power, a subsidiary of SPIC, participated in the restructuring of Enemalta plc, holding 33.3% equity of the company and 90% of the 152 MW Delimara 3 Gas-fired Power Plant.
Shanghai Electric Power developed several rooftop PV power projects in Marsa, Marsa South Distribution Station and Gozo Distribution Station in Malta with a total installed capacity of 1.4 MW.
